Science: Life Science (Biology) Grades 3-5 Standard 11: Describe how energy derived from the sun is used by plants to produce sugars (photo- synthesis) and is trans- fer-red within a food chain from producers (plants) to consumers to decomposers.

Social Studies: Gr 5: History and Geography Learning Standard 4: Use maps and globes to identify absolute locations (latitude and longitude)

Math: Geography Grade 5: Graph points on the coordinate plane to solve real-world and mathematical problems
